About
Me
I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and moved to Texas in 2000 with my immediate family—a transition that has greatly influenced my design aesthetic, blending diverse cultural influences with a love for storytelling through creative work. From an early age, I was immersed in art classes and fashion design courses at the Austin School of Fashion Design, where I learned the fundamentals of construction and design. My first competitive design experience came in 2011, when I participated in a fashion show requiring contestants to create a look entirely from recycled materials.
In 2014, during my senior year of high school, I served as President of AESA Preparatory Academy, developing leadership and delegation skills that continue to guide my professional approach. I pursued a BFA in Fashion Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, minoring in Accessory Design with a focus on fibers, further refining my technical skills and creative vision.
After graduation, I gained experience with small businesses, including a made-to-order luxury womenswear brand and a design studio focused on the hospitality industry, where I led daily fit sessions and honed a client-focused design process. In 2020, I joined NB Designs, a local home staging company, which I now co-own with my mother. As lead designer, I oversee all projects while offering e-design and interior design services. I have also helped build a scalable business currently expanding into sellable goods, and I manage financial operations including payroll, invoicing, and staffing.
Outside of work, my one-year-old son Banks is the light of my world—curious, adventurous, and full of energy, inspiring creativity and joy in everything I do.
